Today mine design and mine planning as well as the following refilling and reclamation comprise a complex project management including diverse questions from different subjects. Important sectors are deposit, requirements for mining and technical equipment, prevention of groundwater, pollution control as well as economical and ecological aspects. In close and coordinated collaboration experienced mining engineers, natural scientists and country planning engineers work closely together.

Objective of the mine design is the simulation of a realistic and optimized mining and recultivation concept, which can be implemented without operational problems.
