Quality Management

Quality control systems in the mining industry serve to provide maximum value and complete extraction of complex and chemically inhomogeneous deposits, like they occur for instance in the cement, limestone, oil shale and clay industry.

This quality control based on the chemical results of core and blast hole drillings, muck analyses or other mining and preparation samples. The obtained quality data are merged into a central database, where the data is graphically evaluated and transferred by different interpolation methods into a three dimensional quality deposit model.

Using computerised simulation models for the mineral extraction, the mining engineer develops an optimized mine layout to ensure the required quality within limit parameters for the preparation and production process in the short-, medium-, or long-term planning process.
